Macdonald & Company are pleased to have been retained by one of their best clients to identify & appoint an asset management analyst to join their office & industrial team in Dallas.
Fantastic opportunity to join a business with substantial AUM and clear progression routes to become an asset manager.
Responsibilities –
- Review property rent roll and leasing reports monthly for accuracy and update Argus Enterprise (AE) model accordingly
- Review, edit, or write narrative summaries for monthly, quarterly and annual reports
- Prepare and review annual operating budgets and asset management plans according to strict deadlines
- Prepare quarterly property valuations using AE and submit updated Internal Valuation excel files
- Coordinate, review and reconcile annual property appraisals.
- Communicate effectively with disparate internal departments, on-site property management and accounting staff, and leasing agents.
- Assist asset manager in supervising and training third party managers as necessary.
- Create, implement, and maintain various tracking criteria related to property operations and performance
- Assist asset manager in conducting property inspections – light travel necessary
- Handle information flow for acquisitions and dispositions
- Establish and maintain network of contacts in real estate, insurance, legal and marketing professions
- Other duties as assigned and appropriate, which may include original research.
The ideal candidate will have:
- BBA in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Real Estate
- 3-6 years of experience working as an Analyst in a related position (Acquisitions, Portfolio Management, etc.)
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Proficiency in financial modeling using Argus Enterprise and Excel
- Detail oriented with ability to multitask
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, ARGUS AE, VTS
- Strong capacity to learn new software
