Kostwein is seeking: CNC Machinists – Milling / CNC Machinists – Lathes
CNC Machinist – Milling
Responsibilities:
Under minimum supervision, setup & machine a wide variety of materials on 3-4 axis CNC machines as required.
Adapt and improve programs with conversational control software for Haas machines
Perform set-ups and operate CNC multi-tasking.
Adapt and improve machining processes, tool selection and feeds & speeds on a variety of materials being machined.
Efficiently read and interpret blue prints.
Engage in continuous improvement practices.
Maintain production rates according to established standards.
Maintain quality standards according to inspection procedures.
Recommend changes for improved quality and productivity.
Maintain high awareness of safety procedures.
Maintain work area in a safe, neat and orderly manner.
Maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees.
Inspection of parts with various inspection equipment
Record inspection results and keep traceability
Record and track daily operations
Active participation in root cause analysis on non-conformity parts
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
High commitment and flexibility

Good time management and planning skills
Good analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, and communications skills

Programming and operating skills on Haas machines (3-4 axis)
Skills in CAM Programming Systems
Must be able to lift 50lbs without assistance
Team work, flexibility to move from job to job to support the schedule
Must be able to read blueprints and understand Geometrical Dimensions & Tolerances
Ability to inspect and verify work to assure highest quality
Education:
High school diploma or GED required
5 years of experience as a machinist or 2-year technical degree strongly preferred
Working hours:
Full time – 40hrs./week
1st shift start – Shift work readiness mandatory
Overtime sometimes required
Salary:
$22 – $25 / hour

CNC Machinist – Lathes
Responsibilities:
Under minimum supervision, program, setup, & machine a wide variety of materials on 2-5 axis CNC lathes as required.
Program lathes using conversational control software for Haas / Mazak machines.

Initiate machining processes, tool selection and feeds & speeds on a variety of materials being machined.
